“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.'” — Lewis Carrol
Do you remember the first time you saw your first real snowstorm? Did you think about how magical the world felt? Or did you grow up with snow and it was just something that happened every winter?
Some people have not experienced snow while growing up and experienced their first snowstorm when they are older. What they experience is magical. They are not concerned with the cold, wet feeling that chills you to the bones. They embrace that and feel nothing but pure, unadulterated joy.

I see your true colors And that’s why I love you—Cindi Lauper
True Colors—To show what one is really like-To reveal one’s real nature or character.
Do you show your true colors to people?
I never hide who I really am. You need to accept me for who I am to be in my life. I am snarky, direct, opinionated, loving and caring. Believe it or not, I am also very silly at times. My husband and daughter have great senses of humor and make me laugh. I don’t make them laugh very often, but when I do, they say it’s really funny.
As my family will tell you, I have the biggest and best RBF you have ever seen. I don’t know why but I do. It can put people off but when you get past it, you will realize that’s how my face is sometime.
I have people in my life who love me for who I am. I don’t change or pretend to be someone I am not for anyone.
So I ask again, do you show your true colors or do you hide them? Don’t be afraid to let them show.

“And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong, and full of life, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter then her fears”—Mark Anthony
A mythical bird said to live no less then 500 years, a symbol of power, immortality, rebirth, and prosperity. The Phoenix would die by flames was reborn in the ashes.
Aren’t we a Phoenix? We have all heard “New Year/Day new you”. That is what the Phoenix does, it reinvents itself when it is reborn. We can also reinvent ourselves.. New job, new house, new friends, new hobbies, they are all a type of reinvention of ourselves, hopefully for the better.

“And she’s buying a stairway to heaven”—Led Zeppelin
While the song may be about greed in society and looking back at your life at death, this is not the reason I created this image.
I created this image because for some reason this song was stuck in my mind for weeks. I had to get this song and the image that came to mind out of my head.
Maybe having the song in my head for so long was the universe telling me what to create, if you believe that. I don’t know. I do know that I created a beautiful image that I felt at the time. Now, my mind is clear I can move on to other images.

“My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature.”—Claude Monet
Mother Nature has given us so much beauty. We need to take a moment to appreciate it. Listen to the sound of the water, watch a sunrise or sunset. Just sit and listen.
I love sitting outside early in the morning and listening to the birds wake up. They are so cheerful as the sun is rising. It’s like they are saying good morning to everyone.
If you take the time and sit in one place long enough, you may be surprised at what Mother Nature has to show and tell you.

I have always like the contrast between beauty and decay. There is something striking about it that draws me in every time I see something like this, so I decided to create one of my own.

A waterfall is concerned only with being itself, not with doing something it considers waterfall-like. – Vernon Howard
Water is the most powerful element we have. It can be beautiful, relaxing, comforting, deadly, and is needed to sustain life. Without water Earth would resemble Mars.
A woman is just as powerful as water. She is beautiful, comforting, deadly, creates life, and without her the Earth would not be the same as it is today.

“The Devil whispered in my ear: ‘You’re not strong enough to withstand the storm.’ I whispered back: ‘I am the storm.”― Adharanand Finn
Women are like the wind, they can be gentile and kind like a cool breeze coming from the ocean on to the beach or angry and mean like that of a tornado or hurricane. The winds can change in seconds, a womans mood can change faster.
She is unstoppable and can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. People often underestimate her power putting them at a disadvantage… And that is when you feel the wrath of the storm.

“Some women fear the fire. Some women simply become it”—RH Sin
Angry, beautiful, brutal, catastrophic, cozy, dangerous, explosive, fierce, heavenly, magical, merciless, romantic, small, unexpected, warm, wondrous. All different ways to describe a fire but you could also describe a woman the same way.
Some women embrace the power within them. Letting it out when they need to be strong and fierce. But also keeping it tamed when they want to be loving and warm. Others shrink away from that power, afraid to let voice and feeling be heard.
I feel we need to open up, let it out and learn the control our power as a woman and show our fierce side when needed.
