Do you wonder how I come up with my ideas for my images? They are mostly all from dreams. I daydream. A lot. So if you ever see me looking out in space that is what I am doing. My husband will laugh when I come back from a daydream and ask me what it was. I don’t have a full story for each image most of them are just one moment of my daydream.
Sometimes a song or portion of a song will spark an image. It might be a snippet of a lyric or even just a song title. When it comes though, I have to follow the idea wherever it may take me.
Some of my images though, are just that. Images. I get the idea for the image and just have to get it out. There is no story. I leave that to you.
Once I have an idea, I will draw the image in one of the many idea books I have lying around. I have to put written descriptions in as well. If you ever saw one of my drawings you would know why. I am horrible at drawing!
I try to use my daughter as a model, but she has recently gone away to college. Thankfully, she has great friends that are happy to sit in when I need a model!
I don’t have a fancy studio, really cool lighting, or a bunch of cool outfits. Many of the images are taken in our living room, or out in the desert somewhere. I make outfits or sift through a thrift store. We have made many pit stops on weekend fun drives, just because we passed a thrift store. I can’t resist them! I even get ideas there!
I invite you to come along with me. Step into my daydream. Enjoy the ride.
